Most assets are designed to be reusable or upgradable into new things as we progress through each phase. This creates a sustainable, rewarding economy where your early participation continues to generate value. The Pixal PFPs serve as the primary key to unlock the Pixel Journey economy in Season 1 through their near-exclusive access to PixelPacks. Our $PXJ token is a core resource required at every step of the recycling and crafting routes.

Pixel Ingredient Pack

Pixal PFPs can be recycled (blended) into Pixel Ingredient Pack NFTs. These packs can then be unpacked to claim 10 Pixel Ingredient NFTs, starting your crafting journey. Both PixelPacks and the single-pixel ingredients are directly stakable for $PXJ via our WaxDAO NFT Farm. Pixel Ingredient Packs are the next step toward Pixel Collectibles. They bind the pixel economy together as it rolls out progressively. Each pack contains 10 Primary colored Pixel Ingredients (randomly red, blue, or yellow). These can later be combined/blended with $PXJ into secondary colors (green, purple, orange). Specific combinations of colored ingredients will be required for future crafts, upgrades, and special blends. Initially, Pixel Ingredient Packs are obtained exclusively via Pixal PFP recycling. After every \~2,000 recycled Pixals, we will add more packs to TacoSwap NFT Rewards and run special giveaway events. Eventually, up to 20,000 packs will be available through $PXJ in future phases. ### PXJ Recycling Costs (Increase per 500 Pixals) The recycling fee starts at 2,000 PXJ per recycle and increases by 2,000 PXJ for every 500 Pixals recycled: * 0–499: 2,000 PXJ * 500–999: 4,000 PXJ * 1,000–1,499: 6,000 PXJ * 1,500–1,999: 8,000 PXJ * 2,000–2,499: 10,000 PXJ * 2,500–2,999: 12,000 PXJ * 3,000–3,499: 14,000 PXJ * 3,500–3,999: 16,000 PXJ * 4,000–4,499: 18,000 PXJ * 4,500–4,999: 20,000 PXJ * 5,000–5,499: 22,000 PXJ * 5,500–5,999: 24,000 PXJ * 6,000–6,499: 26,000 PXJ * 6,500–6,999: 28,000 PXJ * 7,000–7,499: 30,000 PXJ * 7,500–8,000: 32,000 PXJ {% hint style="danger" %} **Warning: Recycling is a permanent burn and cannot be undone!** Be very careful when selecting which Pixals to recycle. Pixals with rare traits (WaxRock or PixelPet) are generally less ideal to recycle early. NFA.
