# Getting Started

**Welcome, fellow Pixel Pioneer!** This is your official starting point for safely and confidently joining the **WAX blockchain** — the home of Season 1 and the rock-solid foundation of the entire Pixel Journey.

Whether you're brand new to Web3 or a seasoned explorer from other chains, these guides deliver **professional-grade, UX-optimized onboarding**. Every page is crafted with clarity, safety-first design, and real-world practicality in mind.

> **Current 2026 Ecosystem Reality Check (Important!)**\
> The WAX ecosystem has evolved. Some platforms have changed hands or gone quiet. **Always DYOR**, but here are our current top recommendations based on reliability and active support:
>
> * **Top Wallet Recommendation**: **Anchor Wallet** (free via AtomicHub onboarding page — highly recommended primary choice right now).
> * **Cloud Wallet Update**: Now requires **passkeys** (Google Passkey Manager etc.). Mobile apps discontinued. Social login/OAuth scrapped. 5 WAX paywall back for some features. Less "cloud" custodial feel — treat it as a solid secondary option.
> * **Marketplace**: **AtomicHub** is currently the top recommended active marketplace.
> * **Avoid or Use Caution**: Neftyblocks and Wombat Wallet appear largely inactive/MIA after ownership handovers and lack of maintenance. We cannot highly recommend them at this time — focus on proven active tools instead.

> Our own **PxMarket** (part of the upcoming PxPortals suite) is in development and will soon offer a native Pixel Journey experience.
